Pricing

Pick your books. Add your taxes.

Choose a Books tier for the bookkeeping and a Compliance tier for the filings, or either on its own. Advisory sits on top when you want the firm in the room every month, not just at year end.Your client portal is free in every combination: see what you owe CRA and what has been filed, answer a question about a transaction without an email thread, and send a receipt in by forwarding it. Every tier states its limits up front. What each discipline covers.

Requires
a Books tier
Scope
set in the engagement letter
  • A monthly review call with the CPA who does the work: cash, margin and budget
  • A lender, investor or board reporting pack, quarterly
  • Help with decisions as they come up: pricing, hiring, financing
  • Forecasting, budgets and the KPIs behind them, in your portal
Compliance goes on any Books tier
Pick the books you need and the filings you need separately.
Advisory sits on a Books tier
Advice is built from books kept here, so Advisory is added to a Books tier, with or without Compliance.
Busy months aren’t charged
An occasional month over your tier’s limits costs nothing extra. If you’re over in three months out of six, we’ll talk about moving up a tier, with a month’s notice.
Priced once a year
Prices are reviewed each January, never mid-year.
The client portal is free
Included in every combination, at every tier.

Past the limits, and one-off work

Payroll
from $225 a month · $300 one-time setup
Payroll on any Books tier covers up to 26 pay runs a year, which is monthly, semi-monthly or bi-weekly. More frequent payrolls are quoted separately. T4s and the T4 Summary at year end are included wherever payroll is bought; ROEs are $75 each. One-time setup, $300. On Books Basic, payroll is an add-on at $225 a month for up to 5 people. Books Standard includes payroll for up to 5 people and Books Plus for up to 15; beyond those, $15 a month per person.
Each additional owner’s T1
from $75 a month
Return and planning for another owner beyond your Compliance tier.
Each additional entity
from $350 a month
A holding company, a family trust or another corporation beyond the one a tier covers: its own books, return and filings.
SR&ED claims
quoted per claim
The financial side of the claim. Larger or more technical claims are prepared with a partner firm that focuses on SR&ED; any referral fee is disclosed to you in writing.
Onboarding and catch-up
quoted on the call
One time, to bring the records current before the monthly fee starts. Catch-up floors are listed under work outside the monthly fee.

Outside the monthly fee

Some work cannot be bundled. It gets its own number.

Each quoted as a fixed fee in writing, before anything starts. Never billed by the hour.

Thirty minutes, and you will know which tiers fit.

The call ends with a scope and a number, not a proposal three days later.
